Bookings
All accepted bookings are subject to the terms and conditions of this document. By making a booking with The Melbourne Chauffeur by Rophael or Tours by Rophael, you are accepting the following terms and conditions.

Bookings can be made via telephone, email or our contact pages on our website. A booking is when both parties agree to proceed with a transfer date, time and price for the transfer and confirmation is given to the future passenger or third party booking on behalf of the passenger.

Bookings can be cancelled and refunds issued prior to the agreed transfer, however each transfer type attracts certain terms and conditions regarding cancelation.

• Airport transfers: 24 hours notice required for refund or cancellation.

• Transfers from one location to another for individual or group passengers: 24 hours notice required for refund and or cancellation.

• Wedding transfers: cancellation and or refund up to 7 days prior to date of transfer.

• Tours: cancellation and or refund up to 7 days prior to date of transfer.

Deposits
No deposit is required for airport transfers and short distance transfers with a duration of 30 minutes.

Deposits may be required for trips more than 30 minutes. 

Deposits are required for tours (20% - 50%) and the balance is due 7 days prior to the booked date.

Deposits are required for weddings (50%) and the balance is due 7 days prior to the booked date.

Deposits are required for special events and high demand events such as Melbourne Cup, Sporting Events, Public Holidays, New Years Eve, Spring Carnival, Christmas Day, Grand Prix, Australian Open and group bookings (20% - 50%) and the balance is due 7 days prior to the booked date.

Quotations
The Melbourne Chauffeur by Rophael and Tours by Rophael will provide you with a quotation based on the time of inquiry of the transfer which can vary depending on the time of day, vehicle and use of the transfer. Quotations are valid for 30 days of the quote and are subject to availability. 

Extra charges apply for all transfers from 10pm to 5am. An extra 25% is applicable to the standard charges.

Special events transfers and wedding transfers are quoted at a higher rate.

All tours are quoted disclosing inclusions and exclusions.

All quotations include GST and where applicable road tolls and airport parking fees.

Standard airport parking fees for domestic arrival per vehicle is $10 (extra parking fees are applicable for longer wait times of more than 30 minutes).

Standard airport parking fees for international arrival per vehicle is $20 (extra parking fees are applicable for longer wait times of more than 45 minutes).

Administration Fee for Credit Card Payments
Additional credit card fees are applicable to all bookings paid by credit card and paypal and are non-refundable. In some instances an administration fee is applicable for tour bookings and special events. This fee will be itemised within the quote and is non-refundable.

Amendments
Should you wish to make any changes to your booking after the booking has been confirmed, these changes can only be accepted subject to availability and we will endeavour to make every effort to accomodate your amendment request. The Melbourne Chauffeur by Rophael reserves the right to charge a fee in relation to any amendments made to your booking, in addition to any other charges that are applicable to the amendments made.

Liability
The Melbourne Chauffeur by Rophael and Tours by Rophael are not responsible for any mechanical breakdown to our vehicles as this is an unforeseen circumstance. We will endeavour to find an alternative form of transportation.

The Melbourne Chauffeur by Rophael and Tours by Rophael are not responsible for any event cancelled or road delays due to weather conditions.

The passenger assumes full responsibility for keeping the vehicle clean and being respectful to the interior and exterior of the vehicle. Luggage and all personal items is to be placed carefully in the vehicles by both passengers. We reserve the right to reject excessive luggage and personal items not previously itemised at the time of quotation as our quotations are based on the information provided by the client at the time of booking and a suitable vehicle is suggested based on this information. The client/passenger will be required to seek their own additional vehicle to transport the extra items undisclosed at their own cost.

Items forgotten in vehicle
The Melbourne Chauffeur by Rophael and Tours by Rophael is not responsible for any items left by the passenger in the vehicles and is not responsible for returning them. Should an item be found left in the vehicle we will make every effort to contact the passenger/s and the passenger is responsible for the collection of their item.

Extended Times/Additional Routing Instructions
Within reason you may request an extra route or waiting time with our chauffeur if time permits. However, if the vehicle and chauffeur driver are booked for another transfer and not able to fulfil your request then we are not obliged to honour your request. It is always important to stick with the scheduled agreed and paid for prior to the transfer.

Cancellations and Refunds

• Airport transfers: 24 hours notice required for refund or cancellation.

• Transfers from one location to another for individual or group passengers: 24 hours notice required for refund and or cancellation.

• Wedding transfers: cancellation and or refund up to 7 days prior to date of transfer.

• Tours: cancellation and or refund up to 7 days prior to date of transfer.

Please note additional fees such as bank account and administration fees specified are non-refundable in all instances.

Food
The client or passenger may ask permission to consume certain types of food (that do not make a mess) may be consumed in our vehicles and the passenger is responsible for keeping their seating tidy and cleaned upon their exit from the vehicle. Any damage to the vehicle or cleaning required will be charged to the client and or passenger.

Alcohol
Alcoholic beverages may only be consumed en route, (except to/from school functions) by persons over the age of 18 and where full responsibility is assumed by the passenger/s. We will not be held responsible nor liable for you or any part of your party consuming alcohol nor the consequences that may ensue. All alcohol consumption is your responsibility and at your own risk and you alone shall assume full liability. 

Please note that we encourage responsible drinking and drunken and disorderly behaviour will not be tolerated. We reserve the right to terminate the ride where passengers are intoxicated beyond the responsible level and will need to find an alternative method of transportation at their own cost and no refund will be offered in this instance. The protection of our chauffeur driver and vehicles is paramount and we strive to deliver the best service to our clients in all instances.

Any damage to the vehicle or cleaning required will be charged to the client and or passenger.

Disclosure
The Melbourne Chauffeur by Rophael and Tours by Rophael require that the client and passengers advise us of any health issues/risks, allergies to food types to ensure we provide the best service and for their own health and safety. 

Waiting/Over Time
The Melbourne Chauffeur by Rophael and Tours by Rophael will always endeavour to accommodate clients who require excess time with our vehicles. Within reason and where possible, the vehicle will be made available to you for as long as possible after the specified period of your reservation.

For standard transfers which include, airport transfers, corporate transfers, tours, and special events, there will be no additional wait time charges applied under 15 minutes. 

Wait time charges are applicable for over 15 minutes at 15 minute intervals and vary according to the vehicle type, time of day and purpose for the chauffeur service.

For weddings additional wait time charges are charged at intervals of 30 minutes.

For tours additional wait time charges are applicable in 15 minute intervals to ensure that the tour is kept to the agreed itinerary and booking arrangements made with our suppliers.

Unforeseen circumstances
The Melbourne Chauffeur by Rophael and Tours by Rophael will make every effort to arrive at your designated pick up location on time. However, there may be delays in reaching your destination due to unforeseen circumstances that are beyond our control such as congested traffic, road works and weather conditions, illness, vehicle breakdown etc.

In circumstances of a vehicle breakdown or mishap rendering the reserved vehicle out of commission, we reserve the right to substitute a vehicle/vehicles. We will make every effort to supply an alternate vehicle and notify you prior to pick up.

Should we be unable to provide an alternate vehicle, a full refund of the amount paid will be issued.

No-Show
In circumstances where the client does not show up at the designated pick up location and no prior cancellation has been made, the full charge is applicable and no refund will be issued.
