Melbourne Airport Drop-Off & Chauffeur Pick-Up Changes from 6 October 2026
From 6 October 2026, Melbourne Airport will introduce new drop-off arrangements for passengers travelling through Terminals 1, 2 and 3, with drop-offs moving away from the terminal doors to the new T123 Transport Hub. At The Melbourne Chauffeur by Rophael, we recommend allowing an extra 15 minutes for the walk to the terminals, while chauffeur pick-ups will also move to a new dedicated area on Level 2 of the T123 Transport Hub.
Enhancing Airport Travel with Melbourne Airport’s New Mobility Assistance Service
In partnership with Travellers Aid, Melbourne Airport has launched a program to support travellers who may find navigating the airport challenging. Four new mobility hubs provide convenient access to services, including wheelchair transfers and buggy transport. Passengers can utilise these resources to move between car parks, check-in areas, baggage claim, and passenger pick-up or drop-off zones with ease. This service is currently available Monday to Sunday from 6am to 10pm.

Airport Drop Off:
Qantas Domestic Departures (T1): our drivers will drop passengers at the new Level 3 Drop-Off Zone within the T123 Transport Hub. Passengers will then walk to the Terminal via the pedestrian connection.
International Departures (T2): our drivers will drop passengers at the new Level 3 Drop-Off Zone within the T123 Transport Hub. Passengers will then walk to the Terminal via the pedestrian connection.
Virgin Domestic Departures (T3): our drivers will drop passengers at the new Level 3 Drop-Off Zone within the T123 Transport Hub. Passengers will then walk to the Terminal via the pedestrian connection.
Jetstar Domestic Departures (T4): our drivers will continue to drop passengers at the existing Level 2 Drop-Off Zone within the T4 Transport Hub. Passengers will then walk to the Terminal via the Ground Level.
Rex Domestic Departures (T4): our drivers will continue to drop passengers at the existing Level 2 Drop-Off Zone within the T4 Transport Hub. Passengers will then walk to the Terminal via the Ground Level.
Please note that from 6 October 2026, passengers travelling through Terminals 1, 2 and 3 will no longer be dropped directly outside the terminal doors. We recommend allowing an additional 15 minutes to walk from the T123 Transport Hub to your terminal.
Airport Pick Up:
Our drivers will meet and greet you inside the respective Terminal, and will be holding up your name on your arrival. The meeting points are as follows:
Qantas Domestic Arrivals (T1): our drivers will meet and greet you at the bottom of the escalators after you exit the security doors.
International Arrivals (T2): our drivers will meet and greet you in front of Hudson Cafe.
Virgin Domestic Arrivals (T3): our drivers will meet and greet you at the bottom of the escalators after you exit the security doors.
Jetstar Domestic Arrival (T4): our drivers will meet and greet you at the bottom of the escalators.
Rex Domestic Arrival (T4): our drivers will meet and greet you at the bottom of the escalators.
Transfers in Mini Buses & Coaches:
Inline with Melbourne Airport regulations, vehicles with 10 seats or more are required to drop off & pick up from the designated "Groups & Charters" zones outside the Terminals on ground level.
For T1, T2 & T3 the zone is situated outside in front of T2. For T4 the zone is situated on the ground level of the T4 Transport Hub.
Our drivers will drop you off and meet you at this location on your departure & arrival.

International (T2): our drivers will drop off and pickup at the “Groups & Charters” zone outside of T2.
Qantas Domestic (T1): our drivers will drop off and pickup at the “Groups & Charters” zone outside of T2.
Virgin Domestic (T3): our drivers will drop off and pickup at the “Groups & Charters” zone outside of T2.
Jetstar Domestic (T4): our drivers will drop off and pickup at the “Groups & Charters” zone on the ground level of the T4 Transport Hub.
